Good old wordplay and food art are always a good combination!
What started out as a simple study of a turnip ended up spiraling into studies of the other two vegetables in the series and voila .... before I could even realize it, the pun in the title just popped up in my head.

Each individual piece is a vegetable done in oil on gallery wrapped canvas. each individual canvas carries a size of 6" x 6" and combined as a set would approximately measure 18" x 6" (not incl. frame)

There are layers and details and the viewer can see every fiber, color, shade and piece of dirt even on the surface of the subject - looks like its been freshly harvested and placed on the surface.

This is sure to be as much of a visual treat as it was fun to paint.
