Echoes of the mist

The theme for 2024 in the studio seems to be all green!

I’ve been getting back to painting landscapes and taking a break from food (believe me when I say that the rate of consumption of desserts last year is directly proportional to the ones I’ve painted 😉)
This is the first of the landscapes I completed this year – it’s green, misty and my favorite mountain setting with the fog settling in.

The piece transitioned from a “mess” to something “dreamesque” as I completed layer upon layer of mist, trees, subtle sky popping out and the mountains – the aim is to transport the viewer into the distant “Echoes of the mist” and provide much need space from the daily rigmarole of life!
The piece has been framed in a thick black frame and is ready to hang – size indicated includes the frame.
